Cultivate:Good
We specialize in cultivating good finance, partnership, community engagement, social impact and sustainability. We approach life with the belief that ‘good’ must be cultivated in all aspects of our lives, from the way we conduct ourselves with neighbors to how we respond to life's ups and downs. We strive to cultivate good learning and growth every day, personally and as a company. Cultivating good is our ethos.
Experience
Cultivate:Good is led by Nicole Carta. Nicole has 20+ years of experience raising resources, creating effective partnerships, and building organizations. For ten years, she led the private partnership teams at the International Fund for Agricultural Development and United Nations Population Fund. She built collaborations with brands including Mars, Unilever, Olam and Hilton to help improve farmer livelihoods on palm, cocoa, cassava, rice and fresh vegetables.
Nicole co-led creation of the Smallholder and Agri-SME Finance and Investment Network (SAFIN) and, working alongside Rabobank and the World Economic Forum, helped launched what is now the Food Action Alliance.
In 2003, Nicole co-founded and ran a non-profit for ten years supporting local community leaders in Uganda and Tanzania providing health and education to children. Most recently, Nicole led the public-private partnerships office for New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services, overseeing a team that raised $45 million in private support for children and families.
Nicole is an adjunct professor at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in New York and earned her MBA from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. She strives to cultivate good every day.
